This senorita needs a low carb margarita! Nothing says summer like a couple of delicious low carb cocktails!

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 ounces tequila
  • 3 ounces water
  • 1/4 teaspoon orange extract
  • 1/2- 3/4 teaspoon swerve or lakanto (see sweetener notes below)
  • 1 lime quartered
  • ice
  • kosher salt optional, for a salt rim

Instructions:

  • Add lime (1 quartered) to a cocktail shaker and muddle to release the juices.
  • Add erythritol (1/2- 3/4 teaspoon), tequila (1 1/2 Ounces), water (3 Ounces), orange extract (1/4 teaspoon) and ice. Cover cocktail shaker with the lid and shake until the shaker becomes frosty.
  • OPTIONAL (make a salt rim): pour kosher salt on a plate (enough salt for the diameter of your glass). Rub a lime wedge around the edge of the glass, then dip in the salt.
  • Fill glass with ice, then the cocktail. Serve with a lime, and enjoy!
