Low Carb Hot Chocolate (1g Net Carbs!)
Nothing is as wonderfully comforting on a cold day as this low carb hot chocolate recipe!
Ingredients:
Hot Chocolate:
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder dutch process
- 2 tablespoons swerve or lakanto
- 2 cups almond milk
- 1 cup heavy cream or full fat coconut milk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- pinch of kosher salt
Toppings (optional):
- low carb marshmallows
- sugar free whipped cream
Instructions:
- Combine + heat. Add unsweetened cocoa powder (3 tablespoons), erythritol (2 tablespoons), salt (a pinch), almond milk (2 cups), and heavy cream (1 cup) to a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, and whisk to combine.
- Add vanilla extract. Once hot chocolate has reached the desired temp, remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract (1/4 teaspoon).
- Serve warm with toppings (below) and enjoy!
